So is a Netflix subscription being bundled with a Comcast plan or are they just adding the application to the box so you don't have to do something horrifying and press the "source" button and pick up a different remote?

That only works if we didn't know it in the first place.

It's still astonishing to me that he thought this merited addressing.

Hubris I name thee Warner!

You'll be pleased to hear that the second one was, if anything, even less coherent than the first, which I'm sure can ONLY be remedied by ever more writers.

This has happened a few times over the last year. Usually it's for a day or two, and then it goes back to normal, with no official word attempting to explain what happened. It's super annoying.

Both are wrong. Dinosaurs developed artificial intelligence which trapped a passing meteor using tractor beam technology, only the resulting cataclysm was so bad that the artificial intelligence was destroyed too, leaving mammals to rule the earth.

As so many of us do, waiting in the shadows for these darkest of days.

I guess this is an experiment in: when something is clearly in the uncanny valley but nevertheless continues to behave as if it's a person, should we all suspend disbelief and treat it as such?

What, is she funny or something?

Up until a few weeks ago, you could do that with an AV Club account, too. I'm just salty you can't merge an AV Club account into a general disqus account anymore. I can't fathom why they removed that functionality.

This is not the day for disqus to be refusing to let me log in on my AV Club account. Stupid disqus.

That idea is so crazy it just might work.

I just cannot get behind the crazy gnashing of teeth over the fact that someone at the AV Club finally ran the numbers and realized that reviewing every interesting show without regard for how many people actually read those reviews made no economic sense.

Sorry to take advantage of your presence in the comments, but do you have any idea what happened with the AVC accounts this afternoon? If not, I get that's not even close to your job, but thought I'd ask.

Yeah. The first set of movies were disproportionately important to my courtship of my wife (we got engaged before a midnight screening of the last one), and even we can't really deny that the last one was just an unmitigated disaster.

I'm not sure if this counts as spoilers at this point, because the show is technically caught up, but it also didn't explore it in as much depth as the books, so….spoilers for Bran's abilities kinda?

You are totally crazy or have no heart. That movie is both legitimately entertaining and a guaranteed hook up on a date movie (given that it's anytime after mid October).

Instructions which apparently never made it to the desk of the writers and producers of Pirates of the Caribbean: The One with Ian McShane and Mermaids.

I'm not ashamed to admit that I auto-corrected it to Lois and Clark.
