I'm thrilled that an episode this season finally got an A. There's been a couple other stand out episodes as well. This show has always done an amazing job at showing the stark contrast between the brothers. That was illustrated even more by the glorious cinematography. One thing you can never say about this show is

Exactly! Like come on, this show has always had its issues, but it is also very entertaining and has some golden moments. There's not a show like it on air, which is why I think it's important in it's own right.

The frame rate has been very laggy for some people. I know of many anecdotes were people have died because they were experiencing a bad lag on a tough enemy. It's solid, but for four years in development, this game is not where it should be.

The game is buggy as hell. The fault lies in the developers

This episode deserved an "A", hands down. The clever twist at the end is testament to wonderfully this adaptation is able to weave in source material while creating its own magic.

Samurai Jack is a once in a lifetime show. It's that simple.

Oh okay. Thank you.

Yeah but why do certain shows stop receiving grades after being reviewed for a season or two? (Empire and etc)

Partly. They weren't sure if the show was going to be a success so they only planned for a portion. The show still manages to deliver some magic even if it isn't as consistent.

Exactly!

Agree with the last part of your comment

She's from Barbados. She disguised it well. Normally it's even thicker than that.

I agree with you

Why do certain shows not get grades? Genuinely curious.

I think AV club has always been overly harsh on Empire. I mean, it's a soap opera.

Agreed! She's so beautiful and she has this natural presence that trickles through the screen. If they got any celebrity to do it, I'm glad they decided on Rihanna.

I was also worried about Rihanna. But, I have so much faith in the writers and casting director that those fears were easily quelled.

Well the final season can make or break any series, but at the rate it's going now, it appears it'll end as strong as ever.

Well I think it's safe to say that once this season is over with we can confidently put it among the greatest cartoons ever.

I agree. I hardly ever agree with AV grades. They just typically have good commentary which is why I read the reviews. I think this is definitely shaping up to be the best season of them all.
