Yea, it was totally awkward.

Meh, considering the context here is nearly identical to when Alaska did it—shooting a commercial, using a member of the Pit Crew for the gag (pun intended)—the comparison is obvious…

That's how I felt about the winning one… Derrick eats babies? Bob steals from people? Meh.

It almost felt to me as if Thorgy gave up… her reaction after they showed her video, and her performance in the LSFYL… by the end it looked like she was holding Chi Chi's hand up like a referee does to a victorious boxer after a KO…

I mean, the runway challenge was itself based on a previous contestant. Don't hate the player, hate the game.

Kim Chi's English isn't bad at all. She just has problems enunciating. This isn't like going after an ESL PR queen for not knowing English well, but more like telling Trinity K Bonet to "put a cork in it… literally".

"Shoes!"

It's too bad Ru judged as pairs instead of individually. Otherwise, Naomi would have deservedly won for being the only one to truly nail both the challenge and the runway. Her shady ad, while not as witty as Bob's, was still funny and was based on her actual teammate (lisp, inability to walk), not a made-up character

Pearl's "Kennedy, your eye is on the prize… and your other eye is on the crown" was one of the best I've heard over the seasons…

"Oh, she's wrong!" had me rolling…

Wow, interesting. The lack of ruby slippers (and inexplicable ignoring of it by the judges) was bothering me too, thanks for the explanation.

Yeah, I have a hard time believing that someone who cut their teeth in the 1970s NYC punk scene would really be bothered by that…

And I doubt Bob looked at Naomi as competition in Snatch Game, enough so to be shady at least…

"I flit my hair back and float"

In my brain I can only imagine Coco as the creepy ventriloquist dummy when I think of her asking, "Ru, what's a Little Edie?"

Oh I've heard they have viewing parties there, didn't know Thorgy was hosting them - will have to try to make it out, thanks!

Well she ended up in the bottom anyway so the result would have been, at worst, the same. But she also could have potentially turned it out doing what she'd planned while showing grit in going up against the now-clear eventual winner of the season…
As for Bob, maybe you're right and it was just the same showboating

I don't remember the question exactly but it seemed suspiciously tailor-made for that particular gag. Good thing Thorgy came prepared.

Yeah, she just stood there and did the "awkward palm tree" dance with a weird grin… hard to watch…

Re: Thorgy viewing party - where, and how insane is it (i.e. packed)?
