I can't imagine anyone else having stronger chemistry in these roles than Jake Johnson and Zooey Deschanel. The storylines haven't allowed them to show it recently, but go back to season 2. Those two were always one angry fight away from making out… and then they finally did.

I'm not sure that I agree that Reagan has proven to be "well-suited" to her partner. For Nick it was lust at first sight, and Reagan went from being annoyed by him to being "crazy about him" after one kiss. I think Reagan does have some chemistry with the loft mates (especially Jess), but I have never believed her

Robbie stealing the envelope off of Jess was great, but I laughed out loud when Jess stole it back from him.

Biggest laugh of the night for me was Schmidt's greeting of "Hello Normals" to Cece and Winston playing slap hands

I'm genuinely curious - did you truly never want them to get together romantically in the first place, or did you not like how the show handled them as a couple?

The quick cut to Winston and Cece's game of pictionary was flawless editing.
"Never in my life have I heard of one-on-one pictionary…"

I completely believe that that is Forte's endgame. However, I hope that the show gets renewed for at least one more season so that they can spread out the inevitable deaths a bit more.

Will Forte and Kristen Schaal really do have such great chemistry and their scenes together are usually equally sweet and funny. Sometimes I wonder what this show would be like if it really was just Tandy and Carol and no one else. I guess at this rate it will be as they keep killing people off.

I greatly enjoyed Winston doing the math as he learned that he might not be one of Schmidt's top 2 best friends

"I combined the names of my favorite singers: Stevie Wonder and James…Blunt!"

The joke about Nick looking up toward Chicago was good, but Winston also acknowledging it later on made it great.

My claustrophobic self was more anxious that I'd like to admit with watching Gail stuck in an elevator while nobody has any idea she's there. And now I have to wait 2 whole weeks to find out how long she'll be stuck in there?! Gah!

"Did you have sex with him?"
"No, the opposite"
"The opposite? You gave birth to him?"

I just love how Tandy has evolved from an overwhelmingly annoying and self-serving character to one who still has his crazy moments, but shows an incredibly sweet side when it comes to Carol. Their marriage relationship is seriously one of the best ones on TV right now.

Could not agree more! I thought Busy Philipps, Lucy Punch, and Zoe Lister-Jones were are hilarious on the show and would much rather have one of them back for several more episodes instead of Megan Fox. Megan was fine on the show, but what I really don't get is the supposed romantic chemistry with Nick that came out

Automatic A for referencing Winston's color blindness

"I can't wait to see the look on Schmidt's face when he realizes that we made it, though, right?"

Julius Pepperwood AND Robby??? We are so blessed.

I actually was pleasantly surprised at Zooey's dramatic acting chops both in last season's finale and this season's premiere. Maybe she's better at that than the comedy stuff? I wholehearted agree that Jake, Lamorne, and Max run circles around her in making me laugh.

I love a good New Girl callback. Tonight we were blessed with:
- Reference to Winston's Latvian basketball career
- "This is my nightmare!"
- "Jessica damn Day"
