This was my favourite of the season. The stuff with endless geniuses and supervillains bores me; it forgets basic human emotional touchstones.

S4 of Breaking Bad was the only one I watched as it aired rather than in a single day. I found it dull and annoying. 8 episodes of slow character crap before the good stuff. So I disagree on a point of style but your general idea seems sound.
