The points are still valid. I've been a reader of Todd's for a while and this response hits the nail on the head regarding his tendency to oversimplify female characters and to compare everything to Deadwood. Don't get me wrong, I love Deadwood too, but some shows are so dissimilar it doesn't bear comparison well.
