TOM HARDY - EYES THAT ACT
Saw Dunkirk this week, was everything I was hoping for and more. Nolan's best film for sure, even if I personally prefer TDKR (sue me). Off to see it again today with my family who don't know I've seen it, as they don't like seeing things with me that I've already seen. As for Hardy, this is…
The best sequel ever?
Zodiac is fantastic, but I still just marginally prefer NCFOM. At the end of the day it's the Coen's best vs Fincher's best, so win win
I think Inherent Vice and The Master are superior to There Will be Blood. In-fact I think TWBB might be the only PTA 21st century film I don't love
I really liked Insomnia, that doesn't get enough love, in my top 3 of Nolan's without a doubt. Also anyone see his documentary short on the Brothers Quay? As a fan of them and Nolan, it was a very disappointing ten minutes
Who wins?
To be fair and to go back on my first comment, NCFOM is better than TWBB and deserved all it got
I've never heard that. Is that a genuine criticism?
I want to see it in IMAX but the train ticket to get there is £13 so nah
I'd rather PTA win so I can shut up about that.
Could have got better art.
I'm not sured I'd call this my favourite Coen or the best, but it is the funniest.
This could be a joke, but it could also be true
In general though 90 minute movies seem better paced. My Philosophy is all films should aim to 90 minutes, with anything over that being 100% necessary. I feel like if I was an studio executive filmmakers wouldn't like me
I'm very excited for this. Having said that, if the film answers the question of "is Deckard a replicant?" in any definitive way I will view it as not canon when I watch the orginal
I haven't got round to watch season 5 of the Americans yet, but I'm sure it'll be great. So fuck you Emmys
Today I watched the first two episodes of this, after recently purchasing the seasons 1-8 box set, thinking the show had ended entirely. I guess I'll have to watch it a little faster now so I can watch it as it airs
Interstellar
I'll admit it, I don't know much about the casting system for Big Budget films. Having said that I find it suspect that no one relayed to Nolan who this Harry Styles fella was during casting. Still I think Styles will be pretty good and equally I couldn't care less (though that isn't true, I care just enough to make a…
