Yes, thank the universe. I was dismayed when it looked like he was dead. "No, not Rollo!" !!!!!!!! I might boycott if that happened!

Well how can this be? There is only 1 minute difference according to the US Amazon site. I too have seen posts that say the blu ray is uncut, but I wish there was a way to positively verify it.
I had heard that the blu ray had the extended, uncut scenes, but I don't think so. I have compared the two at Amazon: the blu ray for season one says it is 399 minutes. The regular DVD says 398 minutes. I have the regular DVD and it is most definitely the edited, cut version. This is why I say I don't think viewers in…
One has to wonder, if Ragnar had the ability to see into the future and know beforehand what would happen, what would he have done? Choose his future sons or Lagertha, knowing he could not have both?
It's the same with Celtic fighting women, and the tombs of the Eurasian women, and matriarchies. No way could they have ever existed anywhere, in all the history of the world. Absolutely no possibility. Uh uh. Forget it. To each their own. I know what I believe.
I like Rollo too. He's not very smart, nevertheless, he's important to me.
I thought Ecbert was going to start making out with poor Athelstan there when he was saying "You are too dear to me…"
Which I'm glad for. Lagertha isn't going to be just another Aslaug. And if she did agree, I think that would be disappointing to many. He insulted her. That hasn't changed.
Where I live it comes on at 11:00 PM. Maybe the producers/writers should move this show to HBO or some other station.
I don't support pirate sites. Being in the business, and routinely having my work ripped off in such ways.
According to Amazon, the blue-ray is only 1 minute longer for season 1 than the regular dvd—398 minutes versus 399 minutes. I can't watch the extended version at History Channel either, although I should be able to. I can't buy the episode at Amazon in its original length either. So basically I have no access to this…
Does anyone know why they're slicing these scenes? Is it simply to get more commericals in? If I knew I could buy the dvd later and get everything complete, it would be okay, but apparently I can't even do that.
What happened at the river? I must have seen the shortened version. Ragnar just walked off. Nor did I see Aslaug's reasonable response at the feast. Wonder what else we've missed?
I suspect everyone would like Aslaug if she'd become Ragnar's love interest in a more honorable way. But interestingly, season 1 expends a…
I just realized I don't remember seeing those spoilers they were showing as they went to commercial. Did anyone else notice whether they were there or not? Perhaps History Channel LISTENED.
"When Ragnar kneels in front of the dying Borg to place his arm back
in position, the act is so intimate, and Travis Fimmel’s face so
unreadable, it’s like the world-building of Vikings in one enigmatic gesture." Yeah, really the best snippet of the episode, imo.
Jarl Borg was spatchcocked.
Ever since we were first graced with the Earl of Whats-it (Lagertha's husband) I've been wondering how he managed to win her and why she married him.
Whenever I listen to "Ingwar" I can't help but think how well it would fit somewhere. I also now have Trevor Morris on my radar. Love the soundtrack. https://www.youtube.com/wat…
I must have been drunk out of my mind when I wrote that! ;-)
This episode was on TV last night while I was working on something else: I sort of watched it as I was working, and I saw some nuances I missed the first time. I think I see what you're saying now.
