Now you listen to me. While I will admit to a certain cynicism, the fact is that I am a naysayer and hatchetman in the fight against violence. I pride myself in taking a punch and I'll gladly take another because I choose to live my life in the company of Gandhi and King. My concerns are global. I reject absolutely

The way he says 'Sex Farm to Stonehenge' with a totally straight face in that video is hysterical.

It's damn funny, though I think a basic awareness of UK police procedurals (which are rather different to their American equivalents) is necessary to get all the jokes.

Certainly one of his best. People I've talked to who continue not to like it seem to have little time (or even awareness) for 'dream logic' films. Their call, I guess.

Also correctly said of Colin Farrell.

Not really a criticism per se, but some have suggested that a lot of the narrative and technical choices Spielberg makes in the movie make it a bit too pro-war for comfort. https://www.youtube.com/wat…

Branson was the first billionaire to ever wear jeans with a sports coat.

A friend and I talked about this show recently, and he said that "when it first came on, I thought it was one of the most amazing things ever. I hadn't seen anything quite like it. And then, very quickly, it became kind of annoying, though I'm not sure exactly why."

Fuck, I actually agree with Yamete for once. Putting fruit in desserts has always struck me as perverse. If you're going to have something that's bad for you, go all in.

Agreed. Aliens isn't scary: it's a rollercoaster, and a damn good one.

I love both, but Alien always takes the crown for me because the titular monster is actually scary. Aliens is thrilling, but that sense of existential dread is never quite there. It just doesn't have time to be.

It's moderately funny, no more, no less. I thought it was strange that after everything you see in the movie they don't even show the goddam wedding at the end. Surely there was a lot of potential humor to be mined from that given the premise..?

Jeez dude, I'm all for criticizing Gaga but doesn't it get exhausting to be so obsessed with race?

Going by the lead single, I don't think so. She seems to be having her cake and eating it with the marketing, which suggest a pared-down, more 'organic' era. But in fact the track is just more club music dross, this time without even a decent hook.

Nah, totally deserved in this instance going by the article. If the show was bad for business then fine, but of course it can't *just* be about that…

I've seen the Avengers about 4 times, but if you put a gun to my head I wouldn't be able to recall the theme now.

I live in London and I've never seen Harry Shearer here so I'm pretty sure he's not around.

Honestly, I find that really hard to believe. Say what you will about TDK, the plot is aggressively focused.

That happened because the real baby they were going to use was sick on the day. You can see the clip on youtube, it looks unspeakably silly.

It's still true, though. The online 'outrage' was wildly exaggerated by the press, and in the end the movie wasn't good enough to transcend that conversation. I mean, articles are STILL talking about it.
