You're the Worst has never fallen into the usual sitcom predictability. it's never been afraid to change things up and i'm grateful for that; it tells it's own story and doesn't pander to the audience.
for the record I thought it was a brilliant episode, and it'll have actual resonance as the show continues.
the

the other two couples know it's "No Longer Just Us". the title doesn't make sense for them.
also, the structure of the seasons has seen Jimmy and Gretchen going through the milestones of a long-term relationship without admitting it to themselves. it makes perfect sense.

i find it difficult to believe it relates to anyone else. and it would fit the structure of the seasons and the relationship perfectly.
see you back here when i'm proved right and you can you buy me a beer.

no love for Edgar? his solo episode was one of the most effecting pieces of television i've seen all year.

the title of the last episode in the season suggests she'll be pregnant.

Paul freaking out, trying to break his walking stick over his knee and instead injuring himself and crumpling to the floor like a sack of falling hammers was one of the funniest things i've seen in some time.
Beautiful episode.

the real problem for the BBC's first crack at this is that it was ghettoed over on BBC4.

the BBC made an actual british version of this a few years ago. i've a feeling, if you can track a copy down, it'll be a far better watch.

" …it still doesn’t feel like we know anyone on the show well enough to really be invested them"
it's four episodes in.
and i disagree.

don't call people "spaz". it's a word that actually has a nasty history to it and is offensive to people with medical conditions they have no control over. i should have reported your ass.

As a straight-up thriller it was abject. Absolutely pedestrian.
Race is very much to the forefront of the film. Of course it is.
The scene in the barbershop where Clint explains how some racism is just fine, is horrible to watch.
The overriding sense seems to be that "the specific immigrants we want and need are ok but

Gran Torino is a horribly pedestrian film that tries to have its' cake and eat it too. The scene in the barbershop is just nasty instead of instilling the sense of bonhomie it desperately strives for. The whole film smacks of "I'm not racist (and here's the proof, I have some non-white friends!), but…
The Korean kids

Clint Eastwood already did it longform. It was called Gran Torino.

You should do a show where you interview a dinosaur, cos people don't see 'em. They don't live here.

Council of Evil - give me your money.

I'm going to press the yellow button. It's lemony.

It's that the guy from Radiohead? … OK, we'll talk about this later.

Enjoy refreshing toimes.

I'm going out back to smash glass with my friend, Zorak.

And you can tell that French DJ Tricky he's not sleeping on our sofa anymore.
