Depends what you mean by "inspires." Fantine's death didn't really change him, personality or character wise, but it did drive plot events forward.

I'm kind of anti. I tried to watch it for the first time as an adult, and it has no nostalgia value for me. I got bored after a half hour or less.

Sisters, sisters - there were never such devoted sisters…

So you're saying you want him in a remake of "Stand By Me"?

Part of the problem was that I remember nitpicking it. One of the biggest plot holes was how Jackie Chan's character is just a janitor, but he speaks great English and owns a car, which in China are both indications of some level of being privileged, especially for someone from an older generation.

Or make a live-action Simpsons movie! Furlong nowadays would make a perfect Comic Book Guy.

Also, his banjo-playing turn. (I missed the chance to see him in my area, but I'll make sure to catch him the next time he comes around.)

It almost makes me curious what he'll be like in "The Expendables 3", although I didn't see the first two movies. Will he phone it in again, or will he manage to scrape together some degree of his old charisma?

When was that? I only saw "Rush" once in theaters, but I wouldn't mind watching it again.

The basic problem with Indiana Jones 4 wasn't any of the actors (except of course that Ford has seemed old and somewhat bored of acting since the late 90), it was the writing.

Heavy.

I agree about the death, but not much else you said.

Also, "Wall Street". Not an extremely complex character, mind you, but she did well with it.

I'm not the same person as above, but my answer (as another person who still listens to the Newsboys on occasion) would be "no.". I just went to an Evangelical school for a couple years and some of it rubbed off.

Or a tap-dancing butler.

Yep, it was.

I don't have a whole lot of opportunities to see silents in theaters. Think I've seen Lon Chaney's Phantom of the Opera and The Passion of Joan of Arc - that's about it.

thanks

Sorry for ruining the thread, but what is ZMF?
