I'd disagree a little. I think that in the book most of Meng's internal dialogue, when it wasn't focused on his daughter, was full of observations about how fundamentally Ganymede was f'd.

In the books she looks like a sweet wizened old lady which is why her swearing is particularly funny. It doesn't work as well with a woman as elegant and beautiful as Aghdashloo.
I want all of Avesarala's jewelry and clothes. All of them.
The way the actor let some warmth and sanity leak back into his eyes when he had Alex over the railing was just superb. You could see him come back from cold murder and it was terrifying! That said, Alex is a total idiot for laying hands on Amos again. I mean holy shit. He's seen what Amos can do to other people.
I thought for sure that she told Fred about the torpedo but now I'm not so certain since Fred has been acting like he doesn't know anything about it.
If you want to know: he was born to a prostitute and was prostituted himself as a young child. He grew up in the slums of earth in an extremely abusive and violent atmosphere. His only parental figure was a woman who kind of adopted him when his mother died (was killed? can't remember) and with whom he had his primary…
Yes, maybe they will bring him more into the political intrigue. that would be nice.
Fair enough! It is true that I've been socialized along with men to sexualize women's bodies. Excellent point.
- The Dispossessed by Ursula K. LeGuinn.
- Stars in My Pocket Like Grains of Sand by Delaney
- Binti by Nnedi Okorafor
- The Price of the Stars by Debra Doyle and James MacDonald (1 of 5 or so, very space opera but fun)
- Ancillary Justice by Lecke
- Anathem by Stephenson (this one takes a while. I'm not sure I would…
I liked BSG for the first season. Didn't like the rest of it. I agree with the assessment of BSG.
I'm not sure if you read the books but one thing that this show doesn't do well is emphasize that Mars and Earth have been on the brink of war for a while. There is a LOT of prejudice flying back and forth. She and other Mars people HATE Earthers. She has no respect for them. Mars has spread propaganda that all…
Read the books - Bobbie herself has some thoughts on this topic.
I think due to TV constraints, they couldn't find someone who adequately embodies Bobbie. Frankie does a good job since she's tall (6ft), she's obviously strong (she is an amateur boxer). However, in the books Bobbie is like 6'5" and 225 lbs of pure muscle. She's also described as very beautiful. Maybe if they'd had…
I think that the best, most believable Belter accent was Anderson Dawes in S1 talking to Miller in the bar. That actor is AMAZING and I hope they bring him back sooner and more frequently than they did in the books. His Dawes was chilling.
Plus, Marcos kept Filip around and poisoned his image of Naomi. If they do what you're suggesting, it would ruin that subplot. I hope these tags work.
As a straight woman I can say definitely that I am not interested in seeing dong on television. Most women will agree that there are few things more ridiculous looking than a fully naked man. The bits dangle around kind of …. randomly. It is quite distracting and not in a sexy way. The rest of it, yes. Dong, not so…
I was annoyed!
I think that there are some things they can pull in to build in character development and keep some major events in Season 3. The Churn novella and the novella with Bobbie and her family comes to mind.
Aaaaaabsolutely nothing. Completely boring.
The doctors were drawn out of one of the novellas. It isn't exactly the situation in the Novella but it is close.
