Do you really think the Good Wife viewership frequents AV Club?
The AV Club review of "Hitting the Fan" is what made me start The Good Wife from the beginning, and it was a long road to get to that ep. Fortunately, I forgot everything I had read, so it was a surprise (more than the later character death). It really is the pinnacle of that show and of drama television.

I think being frozen in a lake is the exact opposite of Acapulco, Mexico.
The writers seem to understand less and less what the readers enjoyed and are instead focused on trying to make sense of this storyline. You can't really do that because the series hasn't been written.
Somehow the season managed to drag out important events, throw in completely unnecessary scenes (Melisandre and Selyse), and then in this last episode feel extremely rushed.

I'm of the opinion that Game of Thrones fan-fiction could be a seriously good use of a writer's time, especially because these books aren't written that well. But the world he created is brilliant.
