Did Jim Mora's voice crack when he said "Diddy"?
Did Jim Mora's voice crack when he said "Diddy"?
This sadly reminds me of the old SNL "Buckwheat Has Been Shot" skit. Basically showcasing a natural tragedy, but also the various cuts to the killer's friends and family, who all basically sad how nice a guy he was, but also they totally knew he was going to shoot Buckwheat since he said it ALL THE TIME.
I always loved Black Cindy, even during her assholish periods, because she comes off as the epitome of the stereotypical "loud black woman" but it's clear that she's very smart, knowledgeable, observant, and even kind of a nerd (she knows what furries are!) and it's rare to really see that kind of character function…
*claps* No one's gonna get this until someone mentions it. Bravo.
Tara tends to troll a little bit with her characters on her Twitter account, but it's adorable.
I had Animaniacs on there and I'm kicking myself for forgetting Freakazoid, but to be clear there was a lot going on animation-wise beyond those two.
Huh. Looks like it was cut. I definitely mentioned it when I sent it in!
I included ReBoot on the list primarily because it was pretty much the first TV cartoon to use 3D CGI models. I can't attest its quality.
Haven't reached any finale yet (it's 80+ episodes, which is an amazing run for a show), but generally speaking, it kinda straddles the adventurous spirit of Gargoyles with the more wackier aspects of Darkwing Duck. It shouldn't work (and the first couple of episodes are clear showcases as to why) but once they find…
In a bit of serendipitous coincidence, I'm actually rewatching the Aladdin show, and… it's actually really good.
Still hoping for a Herculoids movie. I'm (fairly) serious.
Yeah, this movie requires a certain heavy suspension of disbelief, the kind of approach to kids movies where you have to literally and one-hundred percent be on the kids' side, since everyone else is sort of mean or dickish towards the kids, and than despite the fact
I always felt one of the bigger issues, springing off this idea, is sort of how we socially stereotype "nerds," just as we do jocks, MPDGs, etc., in films and TV. I still see depictions of geeky characters who make Obscure-Metaphors as jokes, don't watch sports, and never had sex with a women, for example. If I hear…
The only UG episode I think that really worked with the show's template was the one where he helped the little girl overcome her fear of the dark. It was a real problem that he active worked (in his bizarre way) to fix.
Most of those forgotten Disney/ABC shows are on Youtube, sometimes in fairly decent quality.
It's funny watching Ducktales, Darkwing Duck, TaleSpin, etc. and see bathrooms in the offices and homes, and realizing that the characters piss and shit on the regular.
Yeah, it's funny to watch the snarky Phineas early on, only to see him a lot more calmer and nicer later on. The show aired some early episodes out of order to ease the transformation; the second episode aired was the birthday present to Candace (her face on a mountain), even though it was the fourth episode created.
I'm a "Floor after Floor" fan m'self.
I will stand by that grade until the day I die!
An Earthworm Jim/Gotham crossover would be amazing.
