I've been rewatching some of my favorite POI episodes over the past few days. Harold's monologue in If-Then-Else honestly made me feel a lot better. The people who treat life like it's chess, who don't think everyone matters—they're going to lose.

I've had a Guinness milkshake! They're pretty good.

Just dropping into the comments section to ask a question—I'm looking for a new sci-fi series to binge watch since Person of Interest just ended, and Battlestar Galactica was on my radar. Yay or nay? any caveats before I start?

The repeated use of "Fortune Days" in If-Then-Else was one of my favorites—I do love The Glitch Mob. "Sinnerman" in Witness was a good early one too. Oh, and "Welcome to the Machine" in YHWH.

The music in this show is honestly one of my favorite parts—it's one of the only shows that I can immediately recognize if it's being played in another room in my house, because even just the BGM is instantly recognizable, even if I'm too far away to make out any dialogue. So few shows have such a coherent sound, let

It's so odd to me that people would call POI cynical—it's one of the most enduringly hopeful shows I've ever seen. it's about the importance of every single person's life, which is maybe the least cynical thing imaginable.

man. what a good fucking show. there's a lot of specific stuff I might want to say later, but I gotta run to work soon—for now, I just want to say that this show has really renewed my inspiration as a writer to tell stories. If I can ever build a story as amazing and honest and heartfelt and meaningful as the one that

I just rewatched One Percent, and the end actually suggests Pierce's future involvement more than I remembered—after he tries to give Reese that GPS tracking watch, the Machine flashes up 'monitoring subject' about him. It seems pretty natural from that that the Machine could keep tabs on him for a while before

I actually have been longing to see the Ramon brothers reconcile so I really enjoyed those scenes! I was thinking that Cisco really deserved a hug after he had to watch Earth-2 Dante bite it, and then lo and behold, he got a hug. I'm a sucker for sibling stories so that saved the episode for me, but man, these people

Zoom just showing up to taunt them and then immediately leaving was SO FUNNY…like, nah, don't take the opportunity to kill them. just make fun of them and go!

honestly, this had enough stuff that I like going for it that I actually enjoyed this episode a lot. I'm a sucker for Wells family stuff, and Cavanagh's acting was incredible, as usual. The Caitlin-Killer Frost scenes were fun, I'm kinda bummed we won't be getting any more of them.

This episode was so fun—today was my birthday and I am accepting this as my gift from the CW.

Definitely start from the beginning—if you're crunched for time, people have compiled lists of must-see episodes for the first season, since some of them are skippable. I haven't got them on hand, but probably someone will post them in the comments here soon enough.

i wish there was a way to properly indicate through text the severity of my eyeroll at "post-queerness". alas, there is not. a show can be post-queer AFTER it has the guts to use the word "bisexual", how about that.

I was watching with a group of friends. We all immediately started yelling. The best moment of this episode by far.

true, him smashing the shit out of the glass would be a+

He can like kick Zoom's mask across the room or something!! it would a) be thematically resonant and b) make me smile like a loon

Cisco: "Great, now Harry's gonna kill me and then throw my stuff across the room." I'm so glad we get a reference to this Wells' habit of just fucking knocking shit over like a pissed off cat whenever things don't go his way. It's amazing. Also, I hope we get to continue the dynamic of the entire Wells family arguing

I'm hoping to see Iris get really pissed about all this next episode. Otherwise it's going to feel weirdly consequence-less. Also, tbh seeing this Iris get mad would be awesome.

Yeah, I loved that—kinda thought it was maybe gonna continue on for longer as a plot point, but uh, maybe not if Reverb is dead.
