Killer albums not mentioned here:
Hot Water Music - No Division
American Football - American Football
The Get Up Kids - Something To Write Home About
Botch - We Are The Romans
The Promise Ring - Very Emergency
Rainer Maria - Look, Now Look Again
NOFX - The Decline

Didn't We Are Romans come out in 99?

Yeah, I'm surprised that it holds up the way it does. I probably hadn't listened to it for 12 years, but upon recently returning to it, it's still a strong commercial emo album. Also surprisingly strong after all these years - The Get Up Kids' Something to Write Home About. There are some killer tracks on there.

He created Bill Cosby Bukowski. That's lifetime pass material.

That's always been my favorite episode.Herb Tarlek: hard worker, loyal husband and all-around fine person.

Yeah, he started it up again with episodes with Ray Romano, Adam Sandler and David Spade. I think he has one with Artie Lange coming up.

Disliking Norm Macdonald remains, to me, one of the most baffling stances a person can make. I know comedy's subjective, but seriously, what the fuck is wrong with someone if they don't like Norm?

The Melissa McCarthy one was awful for the most part, but I probably liked a few that people hated.

Um, Will Forte was a FORCE when he was on the show and scratched the same itch as Mooney.

nope. That was season 2.

Are you a Pitchfork writer?

Looks like it's going to Joel McHale for the Late Late Show. Dang. Should have been Norm.

1. Refused - Shape Of Punk To Come
2. Fugazi - End Hits
3. Rancid - Life Won't Wait
4. Lagwagon - Let's Talk About Feelings
5. Turbonegro - Apocalypse Dudes

ATDI were an amazing IDEA of a band, but I think over the years it's slowly dawned on people that they're kind of an aggravating band to listen to.

Good stuff, but I need to throw in Lagwagon's Let's Talk About Feelings. Their best album.

I think End Hits gets slagged because it's their only album that does basically what the album before it had already done. But on a song by song basis it totally slays.

How dare you.

Seriously? Clearly the least interesting of the five picks (although having an intro track is a bit of a bummer).

Metallica - Ride The Lightning
Ryan Adams - Pearls On A String
Sacrifice - The Entity
Talking Heads - The Overload
Scarface - Emeritus Intro

The first four albums are GREAT and the new one is really solid too.
