If I can have one purpose in this thread it will be to convince people that the Paramore album is, indeed, very very good. Best pop album of the year by a long shot.

Why doesn't Janelle Monae work for me? I like her and the idea of what she's doing, but when I actually listen to the albums I'm left totally cold.
I really like that Ghostface album. I don't think his rapping is as fiery as it has been in the past, but the narrative and the production really add value. Probably may favorite of his since Fishscale.
Shit, I did forget one. Carcass - Surgical Steel. Slide that one in at three or four.
You know what, I listened to both the mbv and Paramore albums, liked them both a lot and would happily put Paramore on top.
Conflicted. Seeing Yeezus at the top of people's lists is such a bummer, but you included the new Paramore. One downvote, one upvote.
Top 10 metal for me:
1. Deafheaven - Sunbather
I know, it's the metal tourist album of 2013 and the whole black metal/shoegaze thing is far from new (why are people pretending Alcest doesn't exist?), but it is the best album that style has ever brought forward. As heavy as it is beautiful.
2. Kvelertak - Meir
So much fun.…
Don't knock that Paramore album, it's the real deal. So fun.
Wait, are you saying "Monster" is one of the better songs on MBDTF? Do you have some sort of Minaj-only edit that the rest of us missed out on?
It's good music for if you're throwing a dinner party for a group of white people.
The one thing that surprised me is how often I return to that Free Energy album. It's a total dumb lark, but I really love it.
Two emo bands who put out great albums this year: Dads and Crash Of Rhinos. Also, why are we pretending Waxahatchee doesn't fit in the emo continuum?
Although even the write-up here seems to suggest that this is more of the same for Neko Case, which I think is wildly off base.
Haha, have you not seen their previous music lists?
Don't Yamantaka//Sonic Titan have a new album out?
Below Three's Company?
Favorite foods: Skittles and lobster
Happy Days and Three's Company? Could you have at least said Barney Miller and Taxi or something?
Double Nickels is on heavy rotation in my house and it's even moreso for the Fugazi catalogue.
Accents are regional and also a little socio-economic. Two things you can pin on a lot of Canadians is the sOrry thing and perhaps having a lilting cadence that makes a lot of statements sound like questions. The aboot and eh things are either regional (Newfies) or class things. You'll hear a lot of "eh" in rural…
