Actually, if you re-watch the first appearance of Rob Corddry's character you'll see that he greets Jeff as Tango and Jeff greets him as Sundance. When Abed looks at them weird, Jeff says they had different partners. The lawyer played by Joe Lo Truglio was his actual partner, "Cash".
