I spend a lot of my time trying to build a jazz and opera collection so I tend not to be very aware of new music these days. That said, I've been listening to a couple newer albums I discovered thanks to Pitchfork's Best Metal of 2017 So Far (http://pitchfork.com/thepit…

Beth Ditto's solo album Fake Sugar recently came out and I've been listening to that. I do miss the energy of Gossip but I think this is a solid album and Ms. Ditto sounds wonderful. 3 out of 4 stars.

That a journalist would interview human garbage is nothing new. I look at the interview with Alex Jones as really no different than a journalist interviewing a dictator or serial killer.

I've been listening to Zola Jesus' new track "Exhumed" a lot. I love it.

Dick Solomon will always be the first thing that comes to mind when I think of John Lithgow.

I've started and stopped IJ a few times over the years. I think I would rather eat it than try to read it again.

I don't have a robust defense in regards to the photo other than to say I enjoy provocative, inappropriate stuff and I think the photo worked as commentary on the "blood coming from her eyes from wherever" statement. Is it a great piece of art? No, not at all.
I aslo liked the other photos that came out with the

I wouldn't say put off, just found it to be…different.
There is something that I miss about Lynch's vision being captured on film, or the less than stellar resolution of the digital camera(s) he used for Inland Empire.

As disturbing as Visitor Q is, it's one of Miike's best films, IMHO.

While Safe is very high on my Best-of-Haynes list, the film at the top is the first one I saw, his Karen Carpenter bio-pic Superstar: The Karen Carpenter Story.

"Of course Maya is going to arrive in a helicopter" is what I exclaimed to my tv, through tears and laughter, as Maya arrived at camp. So awesome.

I've read a couple of his books and I want to read more.
I've read the first two books in The Book of theNew Sun and the first book in his two novel Wizard Knight.

New notice on all future casting calls: You will be asked to provide a genetic sample. Casting will be considered based on the results of an ancestry DNA analysis.

I'm working on three books right now:

Cloris Leachman is amazing so far and I thought she looked so beautiful sitting in front of her mirror, brushing her hair.

Years ago, I was in a Sam Goody record store and they played the video for "Stepfather Factory" on their in store TVs. I was immediately hooked, so I went to a different music store (I wasn't about to pay Sam Goody prices) and picked up and my mind was blown. I hadn't really heard anything that sounded like it

I say reboot it as a 13 episode per season anthology series.

I was not aware of the BBC adaptation. I will have to look for it. Thanks.

Ever since listening to Gaiman's Anansi Boys audiobook, I've not been able to think about any other actor other than Lenny Henry as playing Anansi (he's does such an amazing job narrating the audiobook). When Orlando Jones was first announced as being cast, I thought it was a good choice, but I still wanted to see

I'm not particularly fond of Larry Clark's work, but I found his film Bully to be quite amazing.
