Speaking of whom (sorta), I rewatched Hot Fuzz last week and until the end credits I completely missed the fact that it was Rory as the "Yarp" Grocery Store Goon. Naggingly familiar, but I couldn't place him.

I was hoping to see a Real RAF appearance here and at least we got a tribute. Whatever happened to that guy? Death by abrasion?

I'm of two opinions on this. I completely agree with you that the original Soul Coughing versions are far superior. The amazing sound of that band was what MADE that band — Doughty's clever lyrics were very enjoyable icing on that cake, but I wouldn't have given them a second listen without that incredible music.

Uncle Grandpa looks like he was drawn by Don Martin. But the rest of it looks dire.

I've read the books through twice and so far haven't remembered any of the remarked-upon absent quotes, but that's my problem. Maybe they thought the "…rue the day I raped your mother" was a…
