The way she REALLY aggressively kicked the door when someone tried to come in was fantastic.

    I don't know what you're doing … but I like it

I am BLOWN AWAY by the quality of this album. I should not be surprised, I suppose. But damn is it good.

    Oh I want to rank!

    Two things:

Sloppy? You haven't seen the movie, right? Because if there is one thing that it definitely is NOT, it's sloppy. To the contrary, I'd suggest the director's choices are quite obviously purposeful.

Well said, Angry Raisins. And my favorite scene along this thematic line is the one American Ninja points out - the scene on the boat. I found it such a subtle, yet extraordinarily powerful comment on the notion of (I guess, for lack of a better phrase) slut shaming? The message is (purposely) very complicated. Is

I Saw the Devil is goddam brilliant.

YES, gf120581, that is EXACTLY what I find so terrifying, and so satisfying about this movie. It is an embodiment of one of our worst nightmares. A relentless, malevolent force that JUST KEEPS COMING. You can never, ever rest.

    Definitely whining.

Right, this. The girl in the yellow dress was not necessarily It, Jeff just thought it was It. And the "rules" aren't hard and fast rules, they are just what Jeff assumes to be true based on his limited experience with It and what he was told. That is where viewers seem to get lost: there are no hard and fast

This is good, good stuff. I need to see this flick again.

You aren't wrong. But the shame of it is the first half of the film is a genuine, honest-to-goodness, throat-tightening horror flick. Too bad the second half turns into utter trash.

I'll give you a recent example: The Green Inferno. It's a hot pile of stinking garbage, yes, but it's also utterly disgusting. So I'm not sure if it is "scary" in the traditional way, but rather in the filthy disgusting way. I didn't make it past the scene where the SPOILER dismembered the large gentleman in order

Do you mean the Slugworth subplot?

The "Gnap" episode of The Smurfs is a classic. Not scary. But classic.

It's not fair that I can't give you all the likes, Presti.

Is "Them" the movie where the bad guys take the guy to ATM machines to withdraw money? I can't tell from the trailer. If it is that movie, then yes that's a good one.

CitW. Everything you say here is exactly where I was with it.

Definitely You're Next. That movie is a blast.
