One thing about this show that doesn't get commented on enough is the dark humor that runs through it. Me and my wife both laugh at many scenes and as ourselves, "was this meant to be funny?"

This show is so stupid so why can't I stop watching it?

Well the style thing could be that she was pregnant with her second child during much of the filming of the current season. It's why she wears those frumpy clothes and is always blocked by some object in most shots.

Sadly, Mortal Kombat is still the best video game based movie. Not great but damn if it isn't fun and translates the charms of the video game perfectly.

Very uneven show but if you're patient, you'll be rewarded with a strong back half. The soundtrack and portrayal of the creative process is great throughout.
