Not quite, the red flags were still there, the Suicide Squad trailer looked like a music video and the BVS trailer looked like a movie about two superhero's fighting for ridiculous reasons and looked DARK for darkness sake..that is exactly what we got with both of them.

So far it looks to be quite a good film, the story is even coherent, whereas BVS would only be coherent to a 10 year old and Suicide Squad to a six year old.

Seems like the writing went down hill once Julie Plec left the show to focus on the Originals and left Caroline Dries to be executive producer. Season six was the most focused season since..season 4?..or maybe 3?. I am definately a season 4 apologist for the most part I really dug that season (though I really wish

is season seven and eight really that bad?. They can't possibly be season 5 bad right?.

Really disappointing to hear that season eight as a whole isn't a good season. Kevin Williamson came back especially for this season, not even he could save it, it sounds like.

Absolutely!, six just felt like the perfect ending season..from everyone's comments, it sounds like seven and eight were just about running around in circles, rehashing storylines: lets bring in another original family (the heretics), lets make Damon a dick again!, lets have Alaric and Caroline get

That is a whole lot of there that didn't work it seems!..hmm..yes, I only saw about 2 or 3 (can't remember) episodes of season 7 and from their first appearance I was turned off by the Heretics (they looked A LOT more frightening when they were kinda dead) to then have them be played by beautiful people just made it

So your saying that it was a good thing that I stopped watching the show after season six then?. (I contemplated binging season 7 and eight just so I could watch the finale, but I was too impatient so I watched it..still contemplating watching those seasons though) thoughts?.

I think, love her or hate her, you can't deny that Elena was the glue that was holding the show together. She anchored the show and usually when that leaves, the show becomes directionless without it. For example, I don't think I could find anyone who would say that Jack was their favourite character in LOST, but

Its interesting because I never really like Stelena, it just felt too twilight-ish. What I liked about Delena was the time they took to build it up, to all the conversations they had in season 1. Yes they could have been better at getting them together in season 4, other than: I'm a vampire now, and I choose Damon. I

Ah the irony, this is the second show that Kevin Williamson created where he thought it was going to be the two leading characters that would get together: Dawson/Joey, Stefan/Elena and never expected it would go the other way Pacey/Joey, Damon/Elena. Unlike the former, Williamson did say he thought Elena should have

watching this episode reminds me of the second Buffy series finale..Chosen. It was a episode with some amazing ideas. Women all across the world end up gaining abilities and become Slayers, it has the scoobies going to battle, lord of the rings style and defeating evil once and for all!..destroying Sunnydale in the

This whole episode had way too much going on, it was very confusing in places.I'm also a Delena fan and this episode felt like watching the entire show and pressing the fast forward button. Vicky gets abused by Damon…Bonnie doing magic..oh there is Elen..oh haha! its Katherine..now we are in season 2..there's Caroline

I really have trouble hate watching, once I don't like a show anymore I jump ship. Probably the reason I have overall fond memories of this show!. Watched the first 4 seasons and up to episode 13 of season 5, then I jumped ship. Went back to season six (because Alaric came back), loved that season, watched first 3

I will try, actually my favourite original isn't Klaus (though he is a close second) its Elijah. He is a big reason I do want to return, I think he is amazing.

I also really loved the fireball scene too!. I laughed quite a bit during this scene (small detour, but it has a point), because during my high school years I became obsessed with the anime, Dragonball Z. My favourite scene from that show was when gohan was fighting the villain, Cell with a massive blast wave with one

Is it really? I only saw up to episode six of season 1 of the Originals and I jumped ship cause it bored me. I also really hated Haley too. So its worth a rewatch?.

Good rant!, My view of the show is almost identical to that of yours. I think it was episode six of season 1 where I was truly hooked on the show (but the Vicky, death episode sealed the deal) and like you, I found the show appointment television for the first four seasons (I really really enjoyed season 4 for the

The thing that frustrates me the most about S4 (apart from Pacey freaking out at the ball and leaving Joey out of his on insecurities, saying he needed to find himself, which in itself is a rehash of Joey and Dawson s2) was how it felt like it was building to this big reconciliation arc between Pacey and Dawson..then

I do get a bit of a (Smallville) Lex and Clark vibe from Betty and Veronica (especially in the pilot when Veronica said they were meant to be friends, it reminds me of Lex's famous quote "trust me Clark, our friendship will be the stuff of legends". Though maybe that is too much considering that by the end of the
