I have read the book (though admittedly it has been some time since I've revisited it), and I totally agree. Shadow is a static brick, but I was hoping the show would fix that. He's slightly more compelling, but only slightly. I'm also not sure how the ultimate reveal about him explains his flat existence.

They've done an excellent job making Laura an interesting character; perhaps too excellent of a job. The episode really brought home just how flat a character Shadow is. He has, thus far, had no effect on the plot. Even the incident that got him incarcerated was out of his control. He didn't have any part in the

First of all, this season has been spectacular. It's very much the Samurai Jack from yesteryear, but also somehow fresh and new. My only issue with this episode is that it presents us with the idea that that Daughter was the first human Jack has ever killed. I guess Gendy forgot about episode XLIV. Three of the

"They've managed to keep David Oyelowo for a ridiculously long time, all things considered."

Even if her POV is nonlinear it doesn't explain how when she wakes up after stumbling upon William and Logan, she's holding the gun of a man she killed after envisioning him as MiB. How could she be holding that gun when she meets William if she didn't kill that guy until years after she met William?

While this episode definitely added fuel to the fire that is the two timeline theory, the inconsistencies are just too glaring. When Teddy last saw Dolores it was to go hunt for Wyatt, a character new to the world and just recently added to his narrative — MIB didn't even know about him. Dolores meets William shortly

Didn't Robot Chicken make a sketch of this very thing? Was Snyder watching that episode when he got the idea for this?

Well that was fast. I loved it, to be sure, but I didn't expect it so soon. Also Yellow Diamond is terrifying, but I can't forget the fact that there are still two Diamonds after her to worry about, one of whom hasn't even been named. And then there's the idea that even they were created by someone or something.

The western Horn of Africa is completely gone, too.

I loved the shout out to Jaws, even down to the similar score.

I think this current season has established that Pearl is the most emotionally unstable Gem in the group. She's just been better at hiding it than Amethyst. The latter's maturity over the past few episodes has been great, real highlights for the show's writers.

I wondered that too. Greg apparently learned a lot about the Gems during his time w/ Rose.

Damn, Ruby gave no f—ks about Steven watching her neck on Sapphire. Thank the gods they fused again before we found out conclusively what Gems look like under their clothes.

1. Giant Woman
2. Lion 3: Straight to Video
3. Alone Together
4. The Return/Jailbreak (I count them as one episode.)
5. Sworn to the Sword

I know, right? Those two need to meet at the bar and share friendzone war stories lol

I feel like some of y'all are arguing semantics. Yes, Rebecca Sugar has stated that technically the Gems have no sex, but given that her show airs in a country where same sex relationships are frowned upon in television (especially TV for children) I'm gonna say it's a safe bet that she came up w/ that little
