I'm convinced he's on the spectrum and having known people on the spectrum and having some tendencies that way myself, it did help seeing an exaggerated way of how they look at the world.

This appeals to me more on an inadvertent character study level than a "so good it's bad" level.

At work in a 10 page memo, yes, i am. I may think Christianity is stupid and that Christians get preferential or unfair treatment, but i don't get to send out a 10 page manifesto about it.

The guy knew what he was posting was going to be largely offensive to people (you can absolutely tell by the language of the memo), yet he posted it anyway without going to a supervisor first. Even assuming he was trying to "solve problems" is giving him a huge benefit of the doubt.

I believe I saw a torrented copy of Elle too since I only saw it playing in a theater here that has an awful sound system and clientele and I didn't want to bother. I wonder if I should go back and watch it properly. Weird, I hardly ever torrent movies.

TONIGHT WE DINE IN SBARRO!

Great article, Tom. I remember seeing this in theaters and while I remember picking up on the anti-black subtext, oddly I don't think I picked up how it could be interpreted as pro white…then again, I'm not sure that's where people's heads were at back in the 90s, which seems strange now.

How ridiculously lame. I hope that poor person didn't take it too hard.

It was some guy who apparently is a repeat offender who will just make a new account and infiltrate the community.

I would care if anyone wanted me to read 10 pages of anything at work, much less a political screed.

But it wasn't wrong at all.

That's why "what screams 1997 to you" is such a dumb question. Who can remember that stuff so specifically?

He absolutely should have been fired for airing his views AT WORK TO EVERYONE.

Good enough! You have my vote.

I'm not trying to silence anyone. I'm just telling people to get a grip.

Yeah, a philistine because i didn't like a Thor movie. holy shit, the brain on you.

Good stuff. The best stuff.

One if the dumber things you've heard yet you're still wrong and I'm still right.

Physical threats happen on both sides even if they don't often get carried out.

I do wonder if that's the case.
