Oh yeah, I'd never suggest that as an introductory episode. Another good suggestion would be to watch some of the shorts, like Mr. B Natural. The shorts are usually very good and have a ton of great jokes without the long movie fatigue that happens in some episodes.

This deserves many more upvotes.

Yeah, order doesn't matter. Along with Pod People (which is a fantastic intro to the show), I'd also suggest Cave Dwellers, I Accuse My Parents, Werewolf, Final Sacrifice, and Space Mutiny as fantastic starter episodes.

I would still check it out. Rifftrax has some good stuff, but MST3K had a larger group of writers and depending on the season, some differences in sensibilities. I generally find MST3K funnier than Rifftrax.

Part of my decision was that I saw at the $85 level, they're now giving at least the nine, hopefully 12, episodes, and ten other classic ones, so for $35 more, that seemed like a no-brainer. I figured it would be dumb to contribute and not get all the episodes with it.

I did just get a 2 star Black Bolt but I already have a 2 star Thor for my cosmic slot.
