Yeah the score has alternated between Carpenter-esque synth stuff and marching band music, which is kinda a weird mix but they're both used very well

Jon Krisel has been a crucial part of what made stuff like Tim & Eric and Portlandia so good, and Baskets was amazing, so I'm glad he's doing more projects where he's more in the forefront of things

No love for the marching band rendition of Drop It Like It's Hot?? That made the episode for me. I thought it was a very solid half hour of comedy, but yeah, maybe a bit too early in the show to divert from the main plot. It was creatively done, but I thought they maybe projected a bit too hard that someone will find

really? that's kinda weird to me cause season 4 feels kinda separated from the rest of the series. Not that it's bad at all, but season 4 is way more episodic than the first three seasons, which were more like long movies

They also said Eastbound And Down would only last three seasons, soooo….

So Scott Aukerman was finally right about this being the final season

One thing I haven't seen mentioned in the comments or the review (correct me if it was) but that I loved so much was that the reason Richard tripped on the hose was because of how distracted he got by Jared's off-color Dinesh joke. Worked so well on so many levels. Jared probably still felt a high from his Django joke

That's the only spoken word track on the album, and apparently it's Peter Serafinowicz speaking. On the first two tracks Eno does some poetic bellowing and the last track is more "traditional" singing

Ratchet: Deadlocked is really the only game where combat overshadows the platforming - and that was meant to be a diversion. The Future games have some of the best level design of the series I would say

Each of the movies have a similar formula, but have a different aesthetic depending on the genre that's being covered. They could easily mine that and do one about Klezmer or something like that

**Michael Fassbender

Apparently the second season is going to be darker. Fey & Carlock had to tone it down for when they were developing it under NBC, and this season is supposed to have some of what they were originally trying to do.

When they were giving away the Rihanna album for free you got a 60-day free trial to Tidal. I imagine that these accounts added to the number of total streams but not new subcribers. Also, I'm not sure if total streams means the complete album or each song. If it's the latter, that means each person had to, on

LEGO The Force Awakens looks pretty good so far. Being able to play as LEGO BB-8 should be worth the purchase alone.
If superhero is what she's looking for tho, let's hope LEGO Batman The Movie: The Game will be good

I always liked Casiotone For The Painfully Alone's cover of Missy Elliott's Hot Boyz. I think it's cause they were able to clearly express that the joke was the cover itself, not the "look how dumb this song was lol!"

was "indie-pop" in a music fan's vernacular in 1986? cause if not then the album is totally proto-indie pop. tmbg kinda spawned from the no-wave (and combined it with new wave) scene and there's all these weird smattering of super experimental stuff in between crazy catchy hooks. album def. doesn't get the respect it

Weren't they supposed to develop a series that Phil Johnston (Cedar Rapids/Wreck-It Ralph screenwriter) was going to be the showrunner for? News was released a long while ago so I guess the plans fell through

Really the only thing that brings Centipede Hz down for me is that all of the songs go on for at least a minute too long. Considering how dense it is each song becomes exhausting to listen to once you reach the 80% mark. Painting With has a lot of the layered production but it has the benefit of having shorter songs

I feel like people think I'm crazy whenever I compare Animal Collective to They Might Be Giants, but this album proves exactly what I'm talking about I think. There's no way to listen to some of this and not hear some of the same sense of joyfulness in the pop hooks that The Pink Album/Lincoln had.

American Sniper had a script?!
