Marvel could never settle on what Dani's powers were though..so it doesn't really make any difference if she has no powers at all.
You speak the truth Bizarro….Michael Stipe shaved a bald spot into his hair back in the 80's….then the 90's happened.
I hated her first album, but really dug the Disney cover for Maleficent. Now she's working with Dan Auerbach, and it's seemingly turned her career around…phenomenal single.
My favorite songs so far:
1.Lucius-Turn it around
2.Real Estate-Navigator
3.Jack White-Lazaretto
4.Spanish Gold-Out on the Street (favorite new album this year)
5. Beck-Blue Moon
Andy Dick needs a part in this show…
Anybody else remember that one movie Bad Influence where Spader was the nice guy and Rob Lowe was the Dick? Good movie…
I really don't wish any of the Eagles wish were dead. Especially not Joe Walsh…he kind of rules!
Paul played all the Guitar on PTMM. Bob had been fired by then, and other than a small part on Can't Hardly Wait by Alex Chilton, all the guitars on that record are by Paul. They subsequently hired Slim to tour that record (and beyond).
I prefer Pleased to Meet Me as my favorite of the Major Label records, and I think Bob was essentially neutered in the Tim sessions. Which I'm certain was a Paul decision. The band was considerably less "dangerous" afterwards…after Tim, the rest of the band members essentially became Yes Men for Paul.
Q. Was Tommy the drummer in Rock and Roll High School, or was that when Marky had already joined?
^One of the few Ramones songs written by Tommy.
How is it that all these amazing musicians are dead, but every single one of The Eagles is still alive. It's just not fair.
3/4 of the Mamas and the Papas are dead as well. =(
It also worked for "Hold My Life"…and I liked that he dialed it back for more intimate stuff like "Swingin' Party".
The early stuff is great but I've always been a sucker for "I Wanna Live". Anthem for teenage wannabe rebel me.
I also have unreasonably high hopes for "Get On Up". Mostly because I wanna see just how much craziness they can put in a James Brown biopic.
I'm probably the only one who thinks the The Rising Tide is their best work…I went through a period where I listened to everything they did, and Diary and TRT were the only ones that really took…despite sounding completely different. I did like "Every Shining Time You Arrive" from this record…is it worth another…
Eh, the King of Rock and Roll was a devout Christian…
Considering Daltrey's currently promoting a pub rock record he made with Wilko Johnson, I figured Townsend was kind of mocking him for that…
