The Bangles, to their credit, were really big broadcasters of the Big Star legend. They included a cover of September Gurls on Different Light (i.e. the one with Manic Monday) and probably made more money for Alex Chilton than any other Big Star acolyte.
Wasn't "The Pallbearer" with David Schwimmer & Gwyneth Paltrow basically an updated version of The Graduate?
Correct me if I'm wrong…but if the accuser was 17 years old, regardless of whether the sex was consensual or not…it's still (Statutory) rape?
Add "Started in the mid 80's and Houston Wrestling" and the above is pretty much my story…I miss the days when your town had a local NWA territory, as well as WCCW, the AWA on Espn, Georgia Championship wrestling on TBS, and at least 10 hours of WWF wrestling throughout the week. And GLOW. The 80's were wrestling…
Him and Booker teaming up was comedy gold…I remember being upset that the WWE had broken up Edge & Christian..instead we got that team. Booker and "Goldie" at the 7-11 is one of my favorite all time WWE comedy bits.
Vince also had Duthtay wrestling in yellow polkadots…and he still killed it.
Wasn't the whole Golddust gimmick essentially another way for Vince to troll Dusty…he loves being "Shameful" to the American Dream…
And the Adorable Adrian Adonis. And "Rico". The flamboyant gay heel is pretty much a classic wrestling trope. But in Golddust's defense, he's able to work his gimmick as a babyface too…
Vendetta Red were great!
A friend of mine compared "We are all on drugs" to "Student/Demonstration Time" by The Beach Boys: Two bands whom you would never expect nor want to get the least bit political.
I just threw out the love of my dreams is as good as any Pinkerton track…
The opening with Matt Sharp will never not crack me up…"Life's so rad! I'm so stoked!!" etc..
I still wish I had an official release of Modern Dukes. That song ruled!
Troublemaker's probably my favorite Weezer single..
Slob would have been huge if they had promoted that as a single.
He identifies as gay on the show but had sex with with Marnie. If you "identify" as gay, but still have sex with women, is it fair to say you are bi?
Also Elijah from "Girls"…
Frank from House of Cards…
