I agree to some extent regarding his delivery, but the context is still often insightful and funny. Plus, his on screen participation is maybe 50 percent or less of the entire show.

This last season was never meant to be. In an extended interview with the cast and creators it was clearly articulated that they saw the EBD story to play out as a three part series with each series an act in the overall piece.
