I feel like everything in her reviews lately is related to bitterness over the show's treatment of Kalinda (always a topic) or how white straight people with privilege shouldn't comment on topics involving minorities (never mind that this has been the case on this show since the beginning, since it's a show

Same here. I really liked this episode.

Patrick is the worst in the way Britta is the worst. Incidentally, two of my favorite characters right there. Both insufferable, idealistic—but so lovable.

And that's just the top of an iceberg of shittiness from him that at this point has reached a size that could probably sink the Titanic.

I have been perplexed for months about how anyone could possibly root for Patrick and Kevin together. It's just, why would you do that? I could never.

This was truly a great season of television. I can only hope that HBO will renew the show for at least a final 6-episode season (like Getting On), or a movie to wrap it up.

All I know is that I need more Patrick and Richie in my life.

If anyone was shoehorned into this episode, it was Kalinda. Which is rather depressing considering that the character used to be at least remotely relevant, even though that seems like quite a lifetime ago now.

It got a strong 9.0 from IGN, which certainly seems more reasonable. This is another one of those shows where I rarely get the AV Club's grading though.

I've had beef with this reviewer for a long time, so I've stopped reading his reviews altogether. In his 4x01 review of Shameless he was talking about how much he was "over Mickey" and then the character went on to have one of the best season arcs of any character in any season on that show. Hilarious.

I don't really get this argument. As for friends, Josh and Tom can both be quite insufferable. They're best friends in real life too, so the dynamic of their friendship, putting up with each other, feels realistic to me. Claire ran out of patience, so she broke up with him and told him he was gay. Then she moved to

I know! Hence my "Happy it's renewed for a third season."

I absolutely love this show. Season 2 has been excellent. I'm glad they managed to get Caitlin Stasey for a couple of episodes despite her commitments with Reign. The episode with mostly just Josh, Claire and Tom (trapped, but not really, in his room) was one of my favorites, as was the one with just Josh and his mom

The C+ for Mommy seems at odds with how many, if not most, others have reviewed the film. It's getting great buzz, with great reviews especially in Europe. Then again, you gave the also brilliant Tom at the Farm a C, so perhaps you just don't care too much about Dolan as a filmmaker. Or, since it seems the only place

    Long may she reign, indeed!

Love this show! Long may she reign.

I don't remember the name, but it's a Canadian show.
It's on his IMDb page. I forget the actor's name though.

I don't think the baker boy is coming back. He's on another show, apparently.

    How come?

I suppose they were hoping for/expecting a back order, like most shows get at one point or another when starting in fall. So perhaps they started breaking the season with that in mind and had to reorganize everything when it became clear they wouldn't get one.
