Aw. I didn't hate this show. It was a pleasant watch when I watched everything else on my DVR.

Maybe it's the fatigue from events like Civil War 2, and maybe it's because I didn't carry the same outrage over Hydra Steve into my reading of it, but I loved Secret Empire #0. It felt like the perfect setup to an event: Here are the bad guys, here are the good guys, here are the obstacles the good guys have to

Vote Loki #4 came out more than a month ago. It's still clearly pointed at a certain Cheeto of a presidential candidate, but it kind of hurts your point about "this particular moment."

Torts Illustrated was the name of one of the intramural softball teams at our law school.

No, the comics got the idea right. The movie really did screw up the concept by having the soldiers (and by having the mission be "rescue Waller"). In the comics, they don't have escorts and team members frequently die while carrying out the mission. So it makes sense to have expendable prisoners.

I remember it fondly too, but there's every possibility that it was bad. I do remember one episode in particular that legitimately scared me as a kid. Tempted to re-watch it but I think I'd rather keep the nostalgia goggles on.

I've frequently seen her referred to as "FosThor," which almost works.

Wow that was just disappointing. I kept hoping "maybe they're just shitty filmmakers and left the good part for the last 5 seconds"

You could just show the hand clicking out the light.

I don't have much experience with marks using foreign languages, but it looks like an important factor may be that KFC intends for the slogan to translate to their normal "finger lickin good," whereas the taqueria lists their translation as literally "to lick your fingers"

Took a look at the basic trademark search for the phrase. The taqueria registered their entire logo: their name, a picture of a little taco guy, and the phrase. Not just the phrase itself. They also only described their services as "food and drink." (An earlier, cancelled mark for the taqueria listed them as

There's not really anything to dislike about them, they're quick, harmless to the plot, and are a tip of the hat to a guy who created most of the heroes.

Batman asked his all-knowing Magic chair who the joker was, and it told him there were three. On the computer in the bat cave, we see pictures of golden age joker, joker from The Killing Joke, and current joker. That's all we know so far, I think.

No shit. That's why I capitalized Crisis - as in Crisis on Infinite Earths, the big comic event that involved many Earths, was a huge event for Barry, and resulted in a new main Earth for DC.

Maybe it would've been too presumptive on the part of the writers, but my first thought at the Earth-2 vision was that it's the Crisis that will let Supergirl cross over to The Arrowverse now that she'll be on the CW.

Pretty sure the chest things are supposed to be a callback to the classic diamonds.

If the show used this to get around the ending of last season (as in: "forget those guys, we're in another universe where Rick didn't go to prison") it would be a massive cop out but I honestly would be ok with it. I just want more Rick and morty.

Firestar made her first in-continuity appearance with the Hellions in an X-book. Also, she was recently on an X-team. However, her first appearance was as one of Spider-Man's amazing friends in the cartoon and comic, so maybe there's some wiggle room there?

Tbh as long as she says "after 10,000 years I'm free!" that will probably keep me happy enough to watch the whole movie, regardless of how it turns out.

If Poochie somehow made an appearance in this movie, I think I would approve.
