"Improved", yes. But the bar was set so low initially, it was practically on the ground.

I'm guessing ol' Michael Jim didn't eat too many of his own creations, seeing as he lived to 98 years….
For my fellow Seattle friends: Dick's Deluxe or GTFO.
"le Big Mac"? Just a guess…
They did, very briefly circa 2010/11. Once people found out how expensive it was to make new ones, that dream died.
Her sick beats could not be cured with all the doctors Obamacare could muster.
That last bit is a bigger benefit than most Americans can fathom. I too worked in Japan (not so much in "the sticks" per se, but an "exurb" of Tokyo), and I used to get weird stares on the streets and on the trains as I was one of the very few Caucasians that most of the locals had ever run across.
I think it'll be Video on Demand pretty soon. Seems like that kind of movie….
I used to enjoy an Afghani place near the Cleveland Park Metro stop called Khyber Pass. Wonder if it's still there.
I take exception to your categorization. At no point was Tori Amos ever a "superstar".
Grew up in Connecticut - he and Joanne lived in Westport for decades, she's still there - and would see him out and about pretty regularly. Always supported the local businesses. After number 5, I have to go number 2…….a lot….
This review hits it right on the nose. And for as wonderful as it is, that Renaissance Fair scene IS interminable.
Saw this one at SIFF, and I think Ignatiy is being a little harsh. While not great art, it's a crowd-pleaser (it won the audience award at the festival) and the lead kids are wonderful. Pickle looks good too.
Is it just me, or does Amy Adams come across as a younger, less sexy Julianne Moore in this?
