I'm not a book-reader. But I like the comments here better. So I'll squat for a bit. ; ) I really don't care about chains and travel quirks — though I realise it might bother some. Littlefinger, for example, seemed to be shuttling back and forth between incredible distances for the last fews seasons before this one,

Oh! Is this where the insufferable book snobs hang out? ; )

There's a difference between sloppy and dumb. This episode was definitely more the former than the latter.

I mean, if you're going to get hung-up on the chains, why aren't you guys asking how the Night King and his crew managed to get Marylyn Manson's costume designer to design their armor?

The Night King borrowed those chains from a neighbour — which he promised to return

I think you do give two shits. I think you may even give THREE shits.

I really couldn't give two shits about the travel contradictions/inconsistencies. Stop being such nerds, people.

I guess the reviewers have to pretend they didn't see the leaked version of the episode before tonight, huh?

It's the first time Dany had to retreat from a battle. Very humbling — and necessary. Flawed but fun episode.

I just don't think there's time for that kind of twist. It's pretty obvious that Jon and Dany will join forces in season 8 to battle the threat from beyond the Wall. Why would Varys betray her then when she's doing exactly what he thinks a good ruler should do, namely fight for the interests of the realm? If she's

He's not really Bran anymore, as he informs the audience. He's not "shitty" in the conventional sense; he's coming to grips with his power. At any rate, I want to see what his ultimate role will be….

Brilliant episode.

The monologuing was a bit heavy-handed. Gloria the light, Varga the dark. Yeah, Yeah, I get it. And I knew it would end with no resolution because resolutions don't occur in this universe. It's different than what you see with Vince Giilligan: characters in BB or BCS make choices and those choices have consequences.

I like the choice between "To Kill a Mockingbird" and "Monty Python" and the elegant example they serve to distinguish the differences between Kim and Jimmy. Of course, Jimmy's right when he proclaims that trying to change the world "was more Chuck’s thing.” Kim, as it turns out, is also predisposed to thinking that

'Kiddo the minute you gave your take on Batman it was clear you didn't know a thing about the intricacies of fascism' —- dodge

'…he can't handle the fact that his reading of a character wasn't very good.'

'being up-voted for shooting down your piss-poor reading might have hurt…'

Haha! Average Trump voter right here on display: the world sees his stupidity while he thinks he knows everything. I'm having no melt down, dude. Just fascinated how someone who obviously hasn't read more than 10 comic books in his life claims to to know anything about the genre. You have absolutely no clue what the

'blunders up your sleeve?'

Nah, man. You out thunk me, bra! You're a real smart guy who doesn't like 'a lot of words'* So we're going to make America great again — starting with our super-heroes. A good Superman story is one who rescues cats from trees and breaks-up bank robberies. That's the 'concept' of Superman, no? HAHA! Dolt…
