Cox was menacing and dangerous, Hopkins by Ratner's Red Dragon was hamming it up big time. He was great in Silence of the Lambs and I actually like the movie Hannibal - the Italy parts anyway. But by Red Dragon he was too old to be playing a younger Lecter and was just a caricature.
Comments on Cox and Hopkins accents

Can I just say, Craig Wedren and Shudder to Think's music for the movie 'High Art' is one of my very favourite soundtracks. So moody and evocative. I have 'She Might Be Waking Up' right at the top of my playlist!

Just caught up with the finale. I am one of the few who actually wasn't that huge a fan of the first season and the macho tone irritates me. Adding Rachel McAdams was an improvement over the use of women in S1 but here in the finale it was back to the 'send the women away while us men go do the business' trope! The

Part of the problem is the characters were supposed to be, what 15 at the beginning, whereas the actors were in their early 20s and Aria and Ezra (Lucy Hale and Ian Harding) were only a couple of years apart in age. Shows with big mysteries that they with hold for years and then finally reveal The Truth are nearly always disappointing. Most of the fun is theorizing and debating the possibilities. PLL was always going to struggle to explain the reasons as A was always ridiculously omnipotent! I was pretty satisfied with this -

We need more Betty on the show! She is a little ray of laughter each week amongst all the brooding and pining! Hope we get a catch up with her and Helen before the end of the season. Did I hear Sarah Silverman was coming back? (Is she still dating Michael Sheen????)

This.

I am very confused what to think about Bedelia right now - except that Gillian Anderson is awesome! In previous seasons, she has seemed like another of Hannibal's victims, manipulated and enthralled by him. This season, again in Italy she seemed trapped, but also under his spell and unable to break free. After hearing

I agree. It is fascinating how different Brian Cox, Anthony Hopkins and Mads Mikkelsen are. They all have good things about them but Mads on this show is much more cultured and dignified IMO. Of course we never got to see Cox's Hannibal outside of the prison cell and Hopkins' Hannibal was quite a bit older. I agree

I've watched this episode twice, and that final scene a third time to try and figure out what the hell is going through Rachel's head. Is she really mad at Quinn and plotting vengeance? Or does she see that her relationship with Adam was always doomed and leaving with his would have been a huge mistake that Quinn

Glad you referred back to Julieanne Nicholson as Dr DePaul in Season 2 as I thought that storyline and friendship was so well handled. Virginia has not had a friendship like that since.
