oh i got it confused with the 2015 report. regardless, thanks for never once addressing my argument and wasting your own time i guess?

sorry i just got caught up in making fun of you for getting mad about my gut feelings comment and then proceeding to blast me with personal anecdotes, mr dude with a political science degree.
it's not a legitimate proposal because there's no data to support the idea that incremental regulation of guns meaningfully impacts gun crime in a way that justifies the political and monetary and human cost involved.
i agree, the dickey amendment is hella stupid. but that's my entire point, that the scientific consensus on whether incremental gun regulations meaningfully save lives to the extent it justifies the consequences of them is "we don't know."
aye, and in the places with the worst gang violence they elide the federal background checks through straw purchases. even though it is illegal.
oh cmon it's a little awesome
i am a liberal socialist democrat also, i just think guns are a non sequiter. we're living in an age of unprecedented domestic peace. our homicide rate has been trending downward for 30 years while civilian gun rights have been heavily liberalized, dozens of states have switched from may issue to shall issue and…
re: nancy pelosi what you were saying sounded like a direct quote from this:

you're assuming i don't live in a mostly black economically depressed urban area and haven't discussed this issue with people at great length. black people aren't a monolithic block.
lol it's already illegal for felons to own guns. try actually addressing the arguments people are making instead of relying on bitter pathos to strengthen a weak rebuttal. i'm clearly not a libertarian also, so learn 2 politics before engaging in a political discussion.
yeah that is literally an appeal to emotion dude. "but what about my gut-wrenching anecdotes" you say. "we must craft policy around my anecdotes"
nah. if wealthy, white suburban households can own 10 guns per household with no real issues so can poor minority urban households. your method of controlling gun crime by inflicting state violence and broadening the scope of state authority is ineffective and inhumane and illiberal. enforcement will necessarily…
i know where we part ways. no offense intended but what you said to me is 100% nonsense. automatic weapons are already effectively banned. you missed the part about mexico having stricter gun laws than australia but still having a higher crime rate than america. mexico is a third world shithole. parts of america are…
i think a big issue with confronting the talking points about gun violence with democrats is the idea that some nebulous form of "gun control" would meaningfully save lives. even something i think is a decent idea, like a universal background check system necessitates spending political capital and taxpayer money…
i agree with you billy, sam bee is about on par with larry the cable guy.
they had to dig really deep to find someone with less credibility than piers
that is one of the reasons we have the second amendment, yes. the supreme court interprets the amendment as guaranteeing the right to private gun ownership. take it up with them.
well put
stream his shows illegally, skip every part of it that's just bill telling shitty jokes while his audience screeches in delight. the show would be 300% better (i did the math) if there was no live studio audience.
everybody hates piers morgan. it's not really bravely speaking truth to power.
