Most of the show is basically Danny being like, I'll save the day, and everyone rolling their eyes and saving themselves. Which is why I feel like that particular criticism is so uncalled for. I wish people would watch the thing before vomiting hate.

He does seem like a sidekick to me, but I like the character. I also believe the writers know that themselves, which is why Colleen and many others have their own story going on.

The way I see it IF is a 13 hour movie and its first episodes are simply the beginning of the story. When I go to cinema I expect to be more satisfied by the end than I am by the beginning, frankly. Which doesn't mean IF should have worked better on its first episode, but I'd be way more disappointed if I hadn't liked

Just because the target isn't only made of MA lovers it doesn't mean they should get them wrong. I appreciate people bringing up the differences and I hope everyone gets what they're doing right, it's just that I don't believe I have to know about it.

But this is a show about an appropriating white saviour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think they're probably going there.

I doubt Netflix made this for martial art lovers only (if at all).

I so agree.

God, it took me like two months to finish Cage. I appreciate it immensely but it didn't entertain me.

I can't wait to see Jessica with the dudes. I picture her rolling her eyes whenever anyone mentions their hero names or the concept of justice/friendship/whatever.

I'm glad you said it because it's the same for me.

Exactly. Maybe she'll go through with her project and when Madeline reacts to it she'll drop the bomb to prove she's no better. I hope it doesn't happen because it's predictable but it doesn't lack a basis if you know teen agers.

I love Davos. Davos makes this a B- at least.
That's it, that's my review.

I hope next week solves the big mystery of this show, aka what the hell did Madeline and Bonnie ever see in Nathan.

Iirc in the book Bonnie is just as shocked as everyone else, but it's mostly Madeline and Nathan who discuss it. It's actually the moment they begin putting their mutual dislike aside and act like responsible exes.

I'm catching up on her body of work too. I think I'd only seen Moulin Rouge and Australia before this show.

I too found this episode lacked something. The Abigail situation could definitely have been built up better, for instance the book does contain a scene where she's shocked to learn about child brides and there are several other that showcase how Bonnie has influenced her habits and beliefs. I think the show only got

I'm aware of the racial issue surrounding Iron Fist, unfortunately it was blown out of proportion before the show even dropped, when people had no idea that this show would actually feature a pretty strongly diverse cast of characters that aren't waiting for anyone to go and save them, let alone this pretty un-heroic

Took me about two or even three months to finish Luke Cage. I won't deny its worth, but it was sloooooow. There are episodes like the one mostly set in jail I coudn't keep my eyes off and others that felt like they lasted forever. At one point I thought surely I was almost through but I was like on episode 5 instead.

I didn't say critics are the irrational ones though. Sure some of them openly listed Jones's whiteness as a problem but whatever floats they boats. Then some of them expressed more reasonable criticism I can disagree on peacefully. I've said this more often than I care to admit at this point, but most professional
