Yeah that bothers me. I thought the whole point of last season was to set up this sort of big family with three children, two mothers and one father with intertwined storylines and a happy mess, but nope.

Overall, I thought The Crown didn't handle the Margaret and Peter affair too well, both historically and narratively. And it's very true that for Elizabeth to find out of the core problem just so late was plain ludicrous. She passes as too naive and as if she doesn't even know what she's doing.
Philip - I can't really

Right??

Well most of what she did was clearly and act but she still is an unloved orphan who only found her mother to be abused by her. I think her feelings for Scott were genuine. She even admitted she had to say yes to Scott's proposal because she wanted to feel happy for once.

They certainly are trying to give Raf something to do that doesn't involve pining. He's kind of a Daniel Meade character, only it was easier to focus on Daniel because the female lead, Betty, was always around him.

I'm surprised he didn't play that card, I mean I guess he kind of did but not in the best way.

Makes sense, especially the status part. Some things of Anezka's character on the other hand I think he might have genuinely liked. She's more romantic and flighty than Petra and he seemed to dig that.

I think the accent's about her growing up in London? I wouldn't quite assume she's an impostor but I do believe she's up to no good. Pretty sure she knew her story about abuela's sister was fake. It's probably going to end up with Alba having been right all along.

True, but her feelings felt believable. He could have at least asked.

Oh, come on. We've only seen two half conversations and I can hardly believe they couldn't have been longer if he'd wanted. Even when she asked him how he couldn't have recognized her he definitely had a chance to elaborate more than "But we have kids!".

Yeah, Jane is definitely the only one who'd care. It's crazy Raf didn't even think to tell her, she would definitely be more prone to believe it given her history than Vests might have been.

"We got a cat! We didn't even debate about it, we just did it!"
"Wow, you guys are WILD!"

I love Becks but she probably gave me more Betty Suarez vibes here. In fact it must have been the most Betty Suarez Jane ever was so far. Betty was lovely but she did tend to fade into the background when hanging out with wilder, more adventurous people (which was often) and then feel a little jealous about that kind

To be fair, I believe he genuinely thought Michael knew. And he probably didn't even think Jane would mind, he seemed a little taken aback.

Having watched Ugly Betty's whole seasons I can't deny I would have liked to see Petra raise in charge of the hotel as Willy sometimes did with Meade Publications. But maybe this just means Petra won't stay the villain after all. I'm guessing she will sense something's up with Catalina and no one will believe her.

Plus I really felt like she was more jealous of her cousin than she was of her ex boyfriend, although I do believe part of Jane enjoyed Raf's adoration despite having moved on from him.

There are some things I can't quite understand. 1) Was it really so much easier for Rafael to plot with Vests, who wanted to take him down way before Petranezka agreed to and without any serious reason, than talking things through with the traumatized woman? 2) Why didn't Vests rush to see Anezka and start over from

For some reason I had no doubt it was Churchill who wanted the portrait destroyed as far as the show threw it.

That's the way I see it too, and I relate to that so I'm not mad about it.

Wow, I loved this episode and was genuinely expecting to find at least an A- here. Maybe it's just me?
