You keep saying this…when has Hannah acted like she owned him? He was the one who wrote her songs and let himself into her apartment after their first break-up. She wished him well with Natalia and with Mimi Rose. She was kind to him about this play and attempted to say hello to Jessa. And as we see from the preview

I think she did want him back on some level, but has succumbed to EVERYONE in her life saying he was too weird and that Fran was a nice guy. It will be part of growing up for her to figure out what SHE wants.

Oh, the studying session where she commented to Hannah about Adam, but neglected to tell her she was spending time with him and thinking about pursuing a relationship…instead choosing to act like she thought he was lame. Yes, very mature.

Honestly, I think their relationship seems like fanfiction. Plenty of people seem really into it though. *shrug*

I don't think it was a ploy…it was passive aggressive for sure. The biggest problem all of these characters have with each other is communication. They are all terrible at it.
    TERR-I-BLE

I'm not so sure it has NOTHING to do with Hannah. I think they both felt hurt by Hannah last season. That episode where they are at the brunch before Hannah leaves, Jessa basically tells Hannah that she is abandoning her. And Adam pretty much acted the same way. That formed the basis of their developing friendship.

And if I have to hear Jessa call Hannah selfish ONE MORE TIME…which I apparently do, because she does it in the preview…I may reach into the television and slap her.

And the interviews basically saying they thought it would be interesting to give Jemima and Adam scenes together doesn't make me like it any better. It was lazy. And the way people are romanticizing it annoys me.

Maybe in high school and college that goes on, but it's not as prevalent or harmless the older you get. You'll notice Marnie sleeping with Ray and Elijah didn't have the same impact because they were both college romances for Shosh and Hannah, and while serious they were not perceived as great loves.
    Which points

Well, considering it is all just writing and they're not real people I feel sort of manipulated by the writers. I don't believe people change as much fundamentally as how they are trying to portray Adam and Jessa this season. It's like bizarro world.

    I can't either! haha

This I completely agree with…except that I don't think Adam was consciously trying to make Hannah mad, I think he does feel close to Jessa and his kissing her was very similar to Hannah grabbing Fran's hand last night. Whether it works out longterm we all will have to watch to find out!

To clarify, I don't think that Hannah thinks "oh this must be real because it's Jessa." Not sure why she *should* think that. I just mean that she would not feel betrayed by Adam dating some other random girl. She didn't before when they were broken up.

I don't know that that is true though. He first kissed Jessa immediately after seeing Hannah. I guess I just don't see this overwhelming romance other people see. I see hurt people all around.

Yes, I also feel that both Adam and Jessa demonized Hannah to make up for their feelings of guilt.

I still think people are too focused on Jessa and her supposed feelings for Adam as though that justifies being a really terrible friend. And she has been a TERRIBLE friend.

True, but I think even Hannah knows that at this point that was based on her decision not to take Adam back after the Mimi Rose thing. I think she would not have the same reaction to him dating some other random girl.

Just out of curiosity, did you think it was wrong of Jessa to set Adam up with MR while Hannah was in Iowa?

I think you are too focused on Adam and Hannah's relationship. The betrayal is by Jessa. No real time has passed since Hannah sat in a room with her and Marnie and Jessa made cracks about Adam…and now Hannah has figured out that at that very moment this thing with Adam was already taking place and Jessa sat right

Adam was not looking at Jessa, but she was definitely giving him the googly eyes. And I think that was fitting to the story…Jessa's betrayal is the focus of Hannah's anguish.
