Yes, Mack doesn't care…but the writers went to great lengths to show the audience that Mack doesn't care in spite of what he knows. They reiterated severals times that he saw the frames reboot all around him. The only purpose of the (very well done) 'bus with disappearing passengers' scene was to convince those

The parents who named her sister Merrin (the best friend from Alias)!

I can't figure out if this was a joke? I mean posting that statement before checking would be crazy right? I've heard of third watch and rescue me and chicago fire…even though I have never seen these shows. So joke maybe? If not…hope those help!

Agreed but the difference here is that one wasn't real. Mack wasn't in denial. The show made that clear.

Yes. The bus scene did a great job of convincing the audience that Mack knew exactly what was inevitable.

Except that he knows the framework isn't real. The show made it very clear that it Mack wasn't making the choice because it was 'all he knows' or because he thought hope was real. He was making the choice because it didn't matter. It is the same reason Yo Yo choice to stay in the framework with him.

I was pointing out the obvious double meaning of the writer's choice to use 'hope' as the name. Having a family with your girlfriend in the real world…even if you don't know her…could also be 'hope'

Meh. That part made sense to me. I had this same convo with someone in last week's post. Unlike Fitz (and to some extent May) who did things he'd never done before and never thought he'd be capable of…Mack had already lived through this trauma. He's already had a life without Hope and his real world self knows that. I

Maybe the renewal could stipulate that the Rittenhouse plot remain canceled?

I actually think it may do really well on the summer schedule. Like Rookie Blue and So You Think You Can Dance. Haven't those been summer schedules staples for years (depsite not being prestige tv)?

Didn't it happen with roswell? Or is that an example of severe fan reactions instead?

Ha ha! Had to upvote out loud. Will anyone from their team ever read this and acknowledge the misstep?

Not weird but definitely representative of how invisible privilege plays out in our every day lives.

I thought it was an interesting and understated mirror reflection of ophelia not understanding why Fitz would choose someone else. Technically, Mack didn't choose Yoyo and she is fighting for him anyway. More 'to be human is to suffer' imagery and the idea that the hero/villian spectrum has such microscopic

Wasn't that her point in becoming human? I mean it couldn't just been to feel what passing a rock hard shit is like…

I just use the movie as a verb?!

What's funny is that at first I was like…but Aida as Ophelia spent all that time hiding Gemma from Fitz in the Framework precisely because she knew his heart only had room for one true love. "So why on earth is she so shocked?" Then I thought a little bit about…MY LIFE…and immediately let go of that question. We never

Wait. Are you self-referencing here?

That's exactly how I felt! I watched again and you are on the right track. The team built a replica portal of the uncle-related one from the warehouse at the secret bunker (now destroyed). There was no closure as to what happened to it after AIDA read the darkhold because that is what ended the ghostrider arc and

**spoiler** I need help understanding which gateway it was and where it was and is it now destroyed after he came thru? Was it not already? Was it the one saved coulson from? Was it the one in that warehouse? Will watch again in slow mo…but really did feel like that re entry was disjointed and couldn't place it!
