The prodigal son theme has been running throughout the series, but tonight definitely solidified it. The elder brother is the villain. But in Gilligan's moral but non-theistic universe, the ring and the fatted calf don't wait for Jimmy.

The Missouri River is a good dividing line between the plains and the midwest. Farmers on the east side of it, cowboys on the west side of it. It splits the Dakotas in half. One side is more like Minnesota, the otherside is more like Montana.

The upper midwest is a culture distinct from the rest of the midwest. More Lutheran and Scandanavian. Illinois is more rust belt and Catholic.

Notes for the screenwriters: in any scene where Spider-Man is not in, the other characters should be talking about Spider-Man, like, "Hey, where's Spider-Man right now?"

I'm also wondering if Steve Rogers will suffer a similar fate as he did in the comic books? You've got both Bucky and Falcon as established characters now standing by to pick up the shield.

Growing up in the Seattle metro we also knew the reality of being goners had the missiles launched. Within about 25 square miles we had two naval bases, and an army and air force base… probably the second city hit after Anchorage.

Someone invited me to a seminar about how a 5,000 year old Egyptian warrior who lives under Mount Rainier can help me actualize my potential.

My Apple TV played the same commercial three times in a row for every commercial break.

Yep. I'd place all this on Yahoo's service. They didn't have an app for my smart TV. When I got an apple TV the app didn't work very well. And if I wanted to watch it on my laptop, it took some extensive google searching to even find where I can stream it on my browser!

Right. Something changed between seasons 2-3. You could see the change visually in the shows composition in season 3. Michael's thinning hair suddenly thickens again, Pam's slightly mousy appearance is replaced and she looks like she's walked out of a salon every morning. The scenes aren't lit as starkly as the first

Some people may go there whole lives thinking that they enjoyed a good television show, but the truth is, they didn't. Poor delusional saps who enjoyed themselves for an hour a week.

He knew there was a spotter on him and Burris wanted him to lead her to Ani, so Ray sacrificed himself to make sure she got away safely.

I was under the impression someone put the tracker on Ray's car while he was having his moment with Chad at the school— Burris had someone watching the school counting on Ray to show up there.

I forgot about that one but you're right. Return to Paradise. Also with Joaquin Phoenix like Clay Pigeons. Maybe he can only do drama well when they are paired up!

Even though I disliked most of the departures from the book, I thought the fight between Thorin and Azog was actually pretty well done, but splicing it with the Legolas fight scenes represented the overindulgence of the whole trilogy.

Close but not quite. Here's mine…
