Was it this year the Screaming Females covered Sheryl Crow? Because that is possibly my favorite cover ever

We have good food, vibrant local music and arts scene, and good beer. Considering our location, slammed between Ohio and Kentucky, we really have no business being as interesting of a city as we are. Although you have to know where to look, as our downtown area is pretty lame.

"Chili" is just a word. Stop expecting it to taste like chili and you'll realize how wonderful Skyline is.

People. I'm from Cincinnati. However good it sounds to you, it's actually better than that. And it's great with maple syrup.

Hopefully the series doesn't gloss over important women. It's ridiculous how often people discussing the history of sci-fi neglect to mention Mary Shelley altogether.

Fuck, my childhood friend had this.

The Bee Gees - I Started a Joke

I get sinus infections very often. Recovering from a brutal one now. The first time I ever took Augmentin it destroyed me - the second time I was just fine. Don't know what to make of it. Bodies are weird.

I've been watching One Punch Man. It's a bit tedious now that I'm near the end of the first season, as I tire of constant talk of the Hero Organization, threat levels, classes, and so on, but I'm still reeling from how hilarious the first 3 or 4 episodes were. The premise of the show is pure gold.

I wish they would cover anime on this site, even just a little bit. It's hard to find good discussion.

"It looked amazing, and the music was huge."

I love KOTOR but Disney won't bring it to the screen in any recognizable way. Its biggest plot point (the Revan reveal) is already out of the bag, and that's only one of many reasons it would be a bad idea.

I think when they evolved past funny captions is when they finally started being good. But then, we now live in an eternal meme-churning hellscape, so maybe we should've stuck with the captions.

I don't think she was breaking a loop going back for her child. Ford's monologue about "the choices they will have to make" runs concurrent with that scene, implying Ford let her make that final decision herself.

As Maeve is having her moment on the train Ford is talking about "the choices they will have to make." I think Ford left that decision up to her by intention, and that choosing to stay was her first true act of free will.

There was a retrospective on Garden State here on AV Club that I thought was really good. The movie itself isn't particularly heinous but only got worse with time because of overused indie tropes and so on.

I had the pleasure of listening to all of Hejira for the first time this year. It all sends shivers up my spine but "Amelia" wreaks absolute havoc.

My friend loaned me his dad's old record collection and it's basically this but with more Elton John.

I love when this list features bands I genuinely like. Ghost Bath is good.

"The Owls Seem What They Are Not" sounds like Yoda referencing Twin Peaks.
