I thought the opener was okay. The "main issue" about half way through the season is drawn out a little. They built the guards as people which takes a little away from the viewpoint of the show, but it wasn't bad character development. All in all it was okay. Not amazing, but okay. Better than season 3.

Please watch season 3. Last season was better, but season 3 had a literal carnival in prison with inmates laughing and running in the grass together.

The question is, is season 5 more or less boring than season 3? Which is the obviously weakest season of the show. Pipers switch to being the heel of the show and the "growing together" of that season really caused issues with much of the conflict for that season and any that comes up after it. This is prison.
