Watched the audio commentary for Me, Earl, and the Dying Girl and it made me appreciate it a little more.
The truth is I was going through a difficult patch in the early 90's and just needed a breath of fresh air.
There was also a "female comedy duo" involved and Garfunkel & Oates denied that it was them. I'll only believe the story if it's reported on a website more reputable that Gawker.
At least IFC didn't go to the editing-content route, but it really sucked when they made the switch. That channel exposed me to a ton of movies I otherwise wouldn't have heard of.
