That's totally not the sort of thing Reznor does. In fact, I think he's specifically said that sort of double dipping is bullshit.

Even back then I remember people thinking I was nuts for hating it. I still think it's actually the most un-Gorillaz-like Gorillaz song, but I don't hate it anymore. And I find it really weird that others would think of it as the epitomal Gorillaz song.

Ha! Way back when Demon Days was first released, I thought that Dare was its only bad song, and actually removed it from my playlist for a long time. I warmed up to it later.

Do people really not think that Gorillaz stuff ages well? Or just the writer? I think Demon Days is a near-perfect album, worthy of being considered a classic. And their other two aren't too shabby either.

The track is called "A Familiar Taste" because it's a slight reworking of a track from the Nine Inch Nails instrumental album "Ghosts I-IV". The title is pretty much just a wink at NIN fans.
