This show was genius…hilarious and also kind of bone chilling. Favorite occasional support: Phil Leeds as his agent.

My high school Sociology teacher took our class see The Exorcist so we could have an informed debate about the reasons for its cultural impact. It was the 70s. No parent objected. I remember that the teacher, an atheist, called it a "okay monster movie." Fun class.
“Ahm not cryzy! Hey’s from the fewwcher!” I hope this is the last of Bill and a really bad performance and lousy accent. I like the show, but the complications are becoming more irritating than twisty or suspenseful. At the cliffhanger moment I just sighed. Although, given how rushed the show is, next week it’ll open…
I liked this episode but it seemed that Jake had at least three opportunities to jump Clayton. At one point he's only two feet away with the gun tucked under his armpit. And Bill is working my last nerve.
John McGiver getting shot in the milk.
I'm happy I've never heard of Texas Multi-Mamas.
Clothespin? I was thinking diaper maybe? I have no idea. I did get the Candy Barr password, though.
Had Chris Rock been reigned in and not encouraged to sell Girl Scout Cookies for fifteen minutes, all five Best Song nominees could have performed. Honestly, I never heard of the two who were dumped for "time constraints" but I'm still pissed for both them.
I liked that it had an end in sight even if it wasn't picked up. Worked just fine as a single season.
That choked me up. I'd like to say Doris Day winning an honorary Oscar also moved me but that hasn't happened.
Yeah, Chaplin was the best emotional moment. After that, hands down it was Sasheen Littlefeather accepting for Marlon Brando. A couple years later, Paddy Chayefsky tearing into Vanessa Redgrave. I also remember the uncomfortable response when Elia Kazan won an honorary Oscar. Beyond that, the…
Chris Carter interviewed this morning in the NYT on the season finale:
I'm not sure of the season (the one with Veronica Cartwright) but wasn't there already an X-Files cliffhanger in which a beam of light from a UFO appeared over a crowded bridge and everyone looked up in wonder and fear?
Oh, the looter. I forgot about the looter.
Scully: "Stop that!"
Looter stops that.
Scully continues running.
Pictures at a Revolution is great book about that year in movies, 1967. The first actresses considered for Mrs. Robinson is an interesting lot: Patricia Neal, Geraldine Page, Deborah Kerr, Lana Turner, Susan Hayward, Rita Hayworth, Shelley Winters, Eva Marie Saint, Ingrid Bergman, Doris Day, Jeanne Moreau, and Ava…
Here's Lucy is on Hulu.
We did this where I work and it was a nice cast but not exactly box office: Jeff Daniels, Amy Adams, Nick Offerman, Evan Handler, Susan Anspach, and Meg Ryan. Christopher McDonald was suggested to play me. I was fine with that.
Should I ever do another X-Files marathon from beginning to end, Babylon is an episode I'd definitely skip. For so many reasons. Also, I lived in Texas for years and never once saw, heard of, or knew anyone who line danced to country western music.
I think that only happens in movies and TV shows about Texas. And of…
Damn, I was just about to post that. I didn't know we needed one.
Never forget. NBC also gave us Rosie O'Donnell's live variety show with its singing and dancing and specialty acts and what not. And NBC also gave us the Pink Lady (and Jeff) variety show. Try to get your hands on the first episode. The guests were Blondie and Bert Parks.
