I was kidding ;)

They were really excited about stealing combs

Travis doesn't like that neighbor……He's a gun enthusiast…

Next week's episode will have a sudden thunderstorm. Travis will grab a piece of sheet metal to protect himself from the rain and run to the biggest tree he can find, all while frantically waiving a flashlight and blowing on a fire drill whistle…..epic….

I just don't understand why the volume knob on every character here has a terminal case of jumping from setting 2 to setting 12 at random times and for the wrong reasons.

Exactly! The whole thing feels very one dimensional with points here and there (driving by the hospital for example) that had a little something more to them.

This is why my previous is a wish and not a hope. I completely agree with much of what has been discussed, as you just described it.

Especially since nobody has figured out how to differentiate friend from foe entirely

I just wish they had more fun with a mixed bag of characters. I don't necessarily think everybody who is together right now under one roof needed to be during these first few episodes. Some could experience the riots, others experience the deterioration of the 'burbs and what it's like to try and get help (think:

I completely agree with your first point. I don't think it is realistic to expect Travis to immediately attempt to execute a neighbor or somebody he knows at this stage….though he probably should have put up more of a fight and leaving the door to their house wide open….I kinda laughed out loud when that hit the

Nice! Is that a thing? Because if it isn't a thing it should be a thing now.

I would also like to know why teenagers are required to be whining, douchey, or both. I was watching a couple of different shows over the weekend before FtWD and blurted out loud "Why is this always a character category???".

I do think episode 2 was a big improvement, and while there are other things I'd like to mention this is one thing I keep reading about in the comments:

Sexactly!

We don't have enough information within the episode to know for certain what Gloria was doing after JunkieSon was done twirling around in a girl shirt and passed out. All we know is that she was the last one "standing" when he snapped out of it a bit, which also means she was most likely the first to die.

Doubt it. I had to actually watch it a second time to fill in blanks because it didn't keep my attention fully on the first viewing. It's all setup for later.

While they may never explicitly say how the virus came to be, I came
away from this episode thinking we at least know how the outbreak
started to build up so quickly.
