Chris Carter's writing will always be panned. Luckily this one had more excitement, could-this-actually-happen fright, and urgency under it to get something moving. There was clunky dialogue here and there… but way less than the first episode. I'm not really seeing how this is worse than the first episode.

Let's be honest. This episode was so much more exciting than the first episode. Overall, not a bad episode.

Absolutely agreed. Although this was a noble attempt at MOW and myth arch, it would have been joyous if these stories had more room to breathe.
