So-called "alien races" can still represent problematic aspects of society. See: Gungans and Trade Federation for examples. I'm not suggesting the Ewoks are like that, necessarily, but they also evoke stereotypes that are annoying at times.

The entire set-up of the film was Deus Ex Machina. I hated it. They took a good premise following from the original, and then killed it with blatant stupidity.

I find it very hard to believe that not a single person here listed The Knife as one of the best albums of the year. It is criminally under-exposed, frankly, and given its sprawling scope, experimental ambition and political astuteness, it deserves at least an honourable mention from SOMEONE.
