I am genuinely amused that so many Sanders followers decry how the media painted Sanders and didn't give him any coverage while sitting and spewing out the same tired Clinton claptrap the media has been saying since Whitewater. Just says everything about American elections: even the #staywoke crowd falls for it.

And has frequently said he'd have sex with his daughter. So, yeah. VALUES.

We watch Agents of SHIELD together every week and are first weekend viewers of every Marvel movie together. Sorry dude, my mom is a colossal nerd just like me.

Am I the only one who sees John Workman's lettering and then looks for Walt Simonson in the credits?

Having just re-read Johns' run on GL, it was the title least effected by the reboot. Everything from Rebirth to The End happened without any meddling after the fact. Though like with Morrison's Batman work, if you looked too hard that stopped making sense.

"ffolkes" is so obviously Moore having fun playing a character that's the opposite of Bond. I love that movie to pieces.

Warriors was one of my best friend in high school's favorite movies, and I remember a weekend when the first Blockbuster in these parts opened we watched three of his favorite movies on a Saturday-Warriors, Escape From New York, and Mad Max. Great day. I haven't seen Warriors since then though, and I have a terrible

I love Streets of Fire. Of course the soundtrack had songs written by Jim Steinman, it was a fucking Meat Loaf album brought to life.

When I was a kid, my mom sat me in front of a television set and told me she thought I would like this show. It was a syndicated episode of Star Trek, and that's why I am into science fiction to this day.

Eh, same thing happened in 2008 with Hillary's followers and nothing came of it. Besides which, by the time November comes around, #feelthebern will be just another forgotten hashtag.

Yeah, if you don't know that Knopfler got the lyrics from hearing a guy in an appliance store bitching about a music video on MTV, and the lyrics are largely quoting that guy, the song comes across as pretty awful.

I agree with you. I can say "man, it's a shame they didn't stick the landing" or "this show was good up until X point", but…it exists. Denying they made three Matrix movies doesn't change the fact that, you know, they made three Matrix movies.

It was actually "holey rusted metal."

I remember describing the first action sequence in Forever as being "better than all of Burton's times ten", which is hyperbolic but, man, Burton was lousy at fight scenes in those movies.

*Cut to Gendry rowing and wondering why his ears are burning*

I regret that I can only upvote this once.

That was also during Assistant Editor's Month. There was an old trade of that story line and Marvel put a text piece in explaining why that issue was so odd.

I don't know, Chaykin didn't really do all that well with that Blackhawk mini that felt a lot like "American Flagg gone pulp", so I think the only way it could have worked would have been going the indies route.

The Bizarro issues drag it down a little, but it's kind of the platonic ideal of Superman otherwise, especially the magnificent issue 10.

Morrison's JLA is second only to Simonson's Thor for me in terms of comic book runs, but the distance between the two is so small it's nearly impossible to measure it. Like you, I loved how no matter how batshit insane the changes to a JLA character was, Morrison just shrugged his shoulders and, especially with
